CVE-2023-52801

Description: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd: Fix missing update of domains_itree after splitting iopt_area In iopt_area_split(), if the original iopt_area has filled a domain and is linked to domains_itree, pages_nodes have to be properly reinserted. Otherwise the domains_itree becomes corrupted and we will UAF.

CVE-2023-52800

Description: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: fix htt pktlog locking The ath11k active pdevs are protected by RCU but the htt pktlog handling code calling ath11k_mac_get_ar_by_pdev_id() was not marked as a read-side critical section. Mark the code in question as an RCU read-side critical section to avoid any potential use-after-free issues. Compile tested only.

CVE-2023-52799

Description: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix array-index-out-of-bounds in dbFindLeaf Currently while searching for dmtree_t for sufficient free blocks there is an array out of bounds while getting element in tp->dm_stree. To add the required check for out of bound we first need to determine the type of dmtree. Thus added an extra parameter to dbFindLeaf so that the type of tree can be determined and the required check can be applied.

CVE-2023-52796

Description: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvlan: add ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() helper Inspired by syzbot reports using a stack of multiple ipvlan devices. Reduce stack size needed in ipvlan_process_v6_outbound() by moving the flowi6 struct used for the route lookup in an non inlined helper. ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() needs 120 bytes on the stack, immediately reclaimed. Also make sure ipvlan_process_v4_outbound() is not inlined. We might also have to lower MAX_NEST_DEV, because only syzbot uses setups with more than four stacked devices. BUG: TASK stack guard page was hit at ffffc9000e803ff8 (stack is ffffc9000e804000..ffffc9000e808000) stack guard page: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN CPU: 0 PID: 13442 Comm: syz-executor.4 Not tainted 6.1.52-syzkaller #0 Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Google 10/09/2023 RIP: 0010:kasan_check_range+0x4/0x2a0 mm/kasan/generic.c:188 Code: 48 01 c6 48 89 c7 e8 db 4e c1 03 31 c0 5d c3 cc 0f 0b eb 02 0f 0b b8 ea ff ff ff 5d c3 cc 00 00 cc cc 00 00 cc cc 55 48 89 e5 <41> 57 41 56 41 55 41 54 53 b0 01 48 85 f6 0f 84 a4 01 00 00 48 89 RSP: 0018:ffffc9000e804000 EFLAGS: 00010246 RAX: 0000000000000000 RBX: 0000000000000000 RCX: ffffffff817e5bf2 RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: 0000000000000008 RDI: ffffffff887c6568 RBP: ffffc9000e804000 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: 0000000000000000 R10: 0000000000000000 R11: dffffc0000000001 R12: 1ffff92001d0080c R13: dffffc0000000000 R14: ffffffff87e6b100 R15: 00...

CVE-2023-52795

Description: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-vdpa: fix use after free in vhost_vdpa_probe() The put_device() calls vhost_vdpa_release_dev() which calls ida_simple_remove() and frees "v". So this call to ida_simple_remove() is a use after free and a double free.

CVE-2023-52794

Description: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thermal: intel: powerclamp: fix mismatch in get function for max_idle KASAN reported this [ 444.853098] BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in param_get_int+0x77/0x90 [ 444.853111] Read of size 4 at addr ffffffffc16c9220 by task cat/2105 ... [ 444.853442] The buggy address belongs to the variable: [ 444.853443] max_idle+0x0/0xffffffffffffcde0 [intel_powerclamp] There is a mismatch between the param_get_int and the definition of max_idle. Replacing param_get_int with param_get_byte resolves this issue.

CVE-2023-52792

Description: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/region: Do not try to cleanup after cxl_region_setup_targets() fails Commit 5e42bcbc3fef ("cxl/region: decrement ->nr_targets on error in cxl_region_attach()") tried to avoid 'eiw' initialization errors when ->nr_targets exceeded 16, by just decrementing ->nr_targets when cxl_region_setup_targets() failed. Commit 86987c766276 ("cxl/region: Cleanup target list on attach error") extended that cleanup to also clear cxled->pos and p->targets[pos]. The initialization error was incidentally fixed separately by: Commit 8d4285425714 ("cxl/region: Fix port setup uninitialized variable warnings") which was merged a few days after 5e42bcbc3fef. But now the original cleanup when cxl_region_setup_targets() fails prevents endpoint and switch decoder resources from being reused: 1) the cleanup does not set the decoder's region to NULL, which results in future dpa_size_store() calls returning -EBUSY 2) the decoder is not properly freed, which results in future commit errors associated with the upstream switch Now that the initialization errors were fixed separately, the proper cleanup for this case is to just return immediately. Then the resources associated with this target get cleanup up as normal when the failed region is deleted. The ->nr_targets decrement in the error case also helped prevent a p->targets[] array overflow, so add a new check to prevent against that overflow. Tested by trying to crea...

CVE-2023-52791

Description: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: core: Run atomic i2c xfer when !preemptible Since bae1d3a05a8b, i2c transfers are non-atomic if preemption is disabled. However, non-atomic i2c transfers require preemption (e.g. in wait_for_completion() while waiting for the DMA). panic() calls preempt_disable_notrace() before calling emergency_restart(). Therefore, if an i2c device is used for the restart, the xfer should be atomic. This avoids warnings like: [ 12.667612] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 1 at kernel/rcu/tree_plugin.h:318 rcu_note_context_switch+0x33c/0x6b0 [ 12.676926] Voluntary context switch within RCU read-side critical section! ... [ 12.994527] atomic_notifier_call_chain from machine_restart+0x34/0x58 [ 13.001050] machine_restart from panic+0x2a8/0x32c Use !preemptible() instead, which is basically the same check as pre-v5.2.
